The #1 Reason Your Mini Course Isn’t Selling (And How to Fix It Fast)

If you think the most important part of your mini course funnel is the course itself, I’m here to tell you: think again.
I know that sounds wild, especially if you’ve poured your heart into your course content. But the truth is, no one will ever see the brilliance inside your course if they don’t first get past your sales page.
And that is the most important part of your funnel: your sales page.
As someone who helps hundreds of business owners sell their mini courses, I see this mistake all the time outside of my coaching containers. People come to me wondering why their mini courses aren’t selling, and 9 times out of 10, the sales page is the issue.
So let’s fix that. In this blog, I’m breaking down what makes or breaks your mini course sales and how to build a funnel that actually works—even if you’re selling to a cold audience.

1. Price Your Mini Course Under $100
This might feel counterintuitive, especially if this is your first course and you know the value is worth so much more. But here’s the deal:
When you’re running ads to a cold audience, your goal isn’t to sell a $1,000 course. It’s to build trust fast. A price point under $100 makes it easy for someone to say yes without needing weeks to stalk your Instagram, watch every video you’ve ever made, or ask three business friends if you’re legit.
If you’re worried about revenue, add a:
- Bump offer
- One-time offer (OTO)
- Deep funnel with multiple low-ticket digital products
That way, your cart value increases without scaring off your cold leads.
2. Build a Real Sales Page (Not Just a Pretty Website)
This is where most people go wrong.
Your mini course doesn’t need a homepage. It needs a laser-focused, distraction-free sales page. Do not send people to a website with a million buttons, social links, or blog post rabbit holes. They will get distracted and forget why they even clicked.
Instead, your sales page should:
- Use a bold headline that stops the scroll
- Read like a blog or news article (headers, bullets, skim-friendly)
- Be easy to read on mobile (most people are shopping from their phone!)
- Keep paragraphs short (no more than 3 lines)
- Use bolding, italics, and white space to guide the eye
And most importantly…
3. One Action: BUY
Don’t link to your Instagram. Don’t link to your About page. Don’t give them a choice.
All buttons should go to one place: your checkout.
Whether your cart is embedded, pops up, or opens in a new tab, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that there’s no friction, no confusion, and no distractions.
Why This Works (And Why It Changes Everything)
When you dial in your sales page:
- Cold leads convert
- You make daily sales
- Your email list grows with real buyers
- Your brand trust increases
- You gain repeat customers who want more from you
And this applies to any niche: business, health, parenting, wellness, relationships. Your sales page is the gateway to your magic. If it doesn’t convert, no one sees what’s behind the curtain.

Final Thoughts: Let It Be Simple
Before you burn out trying to perfect your course, make sure your sales page is doing the heavy lifting. This one change could be the reason you go from zero sales to a thriving, scalable funnel that works on autopilot.
You don’t need a fancy website. You don’t need to lower your standards. You just need a better sales page.
And when you’re ready? I’ll show you how.
