You Don’t Need More Followers But, This is What You Do Need.
By Krista Smith

You’re posting all the time. You’re showing up. You’re doing what the experts say. But your business? Still quiet. You can’t point to a single client who found you through your content. No customers. No growth. So you start to believe the problem is your reach. If you could just get hundreds of new followers, things would finally take off.
It feels like the right answer. More people should mean more sales, right?
But here’s the truth. If you can’t turn your current followers into customers or clients, adding more won’t help. It’s not about getting more eyes. It’s about what you do with the ones you already have. Let’s talk abut what really makes social media work for your business.

Stop Doing More. Start Repeating More
A lot of business owners think they need to post more. Try more formats. Do more reels. Be more creative.
But that leads to burnout. And it doesn’t always lead to sales.
You don’t need to keep coming up with new things. You need to say the same helpful things over and over. There are accounts out there that have hundreds of thousands of followers that literally post updates everyday of the same thing. Stop thinking you need to re-create the wheel with every post.
People rarely hear you the first time. Or the fifth time. Or even the tenth. You build trust by being clear and saying it again. Be repetitive. It might feel boring to you but to new followers looking for your solution? It’ll be exactly what they need to want to learn more or hire you.
Repetition helps people remember. Repetition helps people believe. When you repeat your message with confidence, people start to see you as the expert.
Check Your Links and Systems
This one sounds small but it matters a lot. Check your links. Make sure your bio is updated. Test your “book now” button or sales page.
People need to leave social media to buy or invest. If your link leads to a dead end, you’ve lost the sale.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to learn more about someone and the link was broken. Or it went to a confusing page. Or the next step wasn’t clear.
Here’s a tip. Ask a friend to go to your profile. Or ask someone at your local coffee shop. Watch them try to find your offer. See where they get stuck.
Sometimes people are trying to buy. They just can’t figure out how. The problem might not be your content. It might be your systems.
